Lead-up and Planned 2007 Regional Earthquake
Exercise Play for CUSEC Member States

PLEASE NOTE:  The information on this page is subject to change several times before the main exercise.  The CUSEC Member States are encouraged to contact Paul Hogue to make updates to their information.

Alabama
No planned participation at this time.

Arkansas

  • Workshop – March 20, 2007, Paragould, AR, Convention Center.
  • Main exercise play – June 19, 2007.  State EOC will have a skeleton crew on June 20 and 21.
  • Topics/objectives for both events will be communications, damage assessment, life safety, and resource support issues.

Illinois
No planned participation at this time.

Indiana
No planned participation at this time.

Kentucky
Conducted a functional exercise on June 19, 2006, for Area 1 (western counties).  Main exercise play will consist of:

  • June 19, 2007 – Functional and full scale response activities to be conducted in Area 1.
  • June 20, 2007 – Functional exercise will be conducted in Area 4 (Bowling Green region), emphasizing staging and resource management issues.
  • June 21, 2007 – Functional exercise will be conducted in Area 12 (Somerset region), emphasizing mass care issues.

Mississippi
No planned participation at this time.  

Missouri

  • Missouri is conducting numerous tabletop and functional exercises between now and the main exercise: Sikeston, 09/22/2006; SE MO, 12/06/2006; NE MO, 01/17/2007; St. Louis, 02/07/2007; N of I-70, 03/07/2007; S of I-70, 03/28/2007; State EOC, 05/04/2007
  • During main exercise June 19-21, Missouri will use compressed time. They will have six operational periods of four hours each, two per day of the exercise. The first period will be their Day 1, the second Day 3, the third Day 7, the fourth Day 15, the fifth Day 30, and the sixth Day 45.

Tennessee

  • Tennessee’s exercise is named TNCAT07
  • Feb 21, 2007 – Communications Drill
  • Main exercise will use compressed time.
  • Mar 21, 2007 – General Exercise Committee Meeting (Jackson)
  • Mar 27, 2007 – Communications Seminar/Tabletop (Jackson)
  • May 16, 2007 – Final Venue Meeting
  • June 6, 2007 – Final General TNCAT Exercise Committee Meeting
  • June 19, 2007 (Period A) – Full-scale exercise testing ability of local and state government communications capability and assets.
  • June 20, 2007 (Period B) – Full-scale exercise emphasizing deployment, logistics, and SEOC Activation.
  • June 19, 2007 (Period C) – Full-scale exercise emphasizing medical issues.
